ActioNCD International was born out of one truth: strategies don’t save lives, action does. We exist to walk with countries ready to break through inertia and lead their own transformation against noncommunicable diseases.
ActioNCD International is a purpose-driven global enterprise founded by Dr. Temo Waqanivalu, a former WHO leader with more than 30 years of experience in public health and NCD strategy.
After decades working inside international institutions, Dr. Temo saw the same problem everywhere:
Plans were made, funding allocated, research published — but implementation rarely followed.
The result? Countries were left to navigate alone. Meanwhile, millions died silently from diseases that could have been prevented.
So he left the system and built a new one designed to deliver.
